rumour has it that the maryland orchid society's big annual show will be the weekend of 2/29 - 3/2/08 out at timonium; hopefully MOS will update their page soon.

These are all wonderfully useful rumors, Janet. I get announcements for the MOS and Brookside Garden shows but I've never known about the US botanical garden tour (that must be Thomas Mirenda's showcase)! Just to be sure, is that March 1st rather than Jan 3rd? And can you tell us what webpage to check for that event?

I missed the MOS auction in the last minute because my mother-in-law had a heart attack and is still in quite serious condition in Massachusetts, but I was going to wear an ORCHIDGEEK badge as designed by Vivienne. Perhaps I can manage to do so at the next event and we'll meet.

also, brookside garden orchid club's little informational show is the weekend of 2/23; friends of brookside gardens' sale is the weekend of 3/15 (both at brookside gardens); national capital's auction is 3/1 at the arboretum; MD orchid soc show is the weekend of 3/9 at the state fairgrounds.
