| The best way to find sellers is to go to Ebay, in their search engine type, ORCHIDS this will give you the listed auctions, from there at the top of the list you can click on customize list details, select show store names, you can find a lot of sellers in CA & anywhere else in the country that way. |

| Not too far from there is the Santa Barbara Orchid Society - check out http://www.sborchid.com/. I have not been there but they get a ton of good press! (I did go to college in Santa Barbara and the visit to Santa Barbara alone is worth the drive IMHO). mike |

| I've heard a good deal about Santa Barbara Orchid Society. The society I just joined took an excursion down to SBOS a few months ago, and I've heard good things. Another place, about 1 1/2 - 2 hours from L.A., is Andy's Orchids . He especializes in species. I haven't been to his nursery, but have ordered from him and spoken with him over the phone...very helpful and knowledgable. The plants I bought from him are good quality. So if you don't mind taking a drive down (and do some sightseeing on the way

| Falbrook isn't too far from Thousand Oaks. I've never visited Orchidanica, but I bought my Vanilla plant from them at a show. http://www.orchidanica.com/ Also there is the Santa Barbara Orchid estates and you could go to Cal Orchids at the same time if you make a trip to Santa Barbara, as they are about a half block apart. Then there is Daniger Orchids in Northridge, which again I have not visited. Here is a site with adds for two of these places. http://www.sgvoh.org/Advertisers.html If you are going to be there for the 3rd Thurday, make a trip to the Arboretum for the San Gabriel Valley Orchid Hobbyists meeting. This was my favorite Society, and they have the absolute best raffle table anywhere. And they usually also have a silent auction. http://www.sgvoh.org/Monthly_Program.html
