| STILL can't upload !
I have gone beyond the 15 posts required to upload images to the Galleries, but STILL get an error code. I am a photographer and fully understand the resolution / size contraints and can upload to postings without a problem. (see attachment) Why then, can't I upload to one of the Photo Galleries ??

Hi Anton, welcome The personal message sent to the administrator - David - remains unanswered... |

Probably would be best to share our pictures elsewhere. Flickr.com has several good orchid groups. Also try: Orchid Forum - GardenWeb

Phillip, I thought I recognised that orchid on your avitar. When I saw you were from Singapore the little 5 watt globe dimly lit above my head. Thinking about buying some flasked to ship back here to Australia. What is it's name, who grows them, and roughly how much are they ? The coversion from Oz$ to Sin$ is about $0.70 difference.

Anton.... it's a little confusing really... there are two very similar orchids that look like that... one's Phal. bellina and the other is Phal. violacea. To add to the confusion, Phal. bellina is also known as Phal. violacea var. Borneo. Darn these taxonomists!!! I don't know the difference and they are often mislabelled by plant sellers... Only the trusted orchid nurseries will have it correct. The one in my avatar is Phal. violacea... Each mature plant can cost abt AUD18 to AUD40 depending on the size and parentage I believe. I have not seen flasked seedlings of this species. I buy from Song Orchids on the western half of Singapore. I'm going down on Saturday. Perhaps I can find out for you.

Anton, I asked and he did not have flasked seedlings for sale. He has one mature plant for sale though. They sell very fast. EDIT: Finally, I've reached 15 posts... here's the Phal violacea

Phillip, I may have a contact here in Adelaide to get a Phal violacea. An old friend of mine who I went and saw yesterday after losing contact for 20+ years, grows orchids and flasks his own hybrids as well, said he has a contact who gows them, and is going to see if he can source one for me.
