| My Fellow Orchidkeeks I will start from the beginning. Yesterday we received a phone call my wife answered the phone and it was from my friends who own the orchid nursery as I am not well and under medication my wife said he is not available right now so the owner of the orchid nursery asked my wife to pass on a message to me to go down to there nursery today at lunch time. I must admit they know about my mother and with me not being to well so I wondered what would they want me for hehehe I thought and thought to myself ( I wonder what they want ) hehehe  So I went down to my friends orchid nursery at lunch time today I walked into the front of the store and I was greeted by my two friends and I stood at the counter and Helen said to me we have some thing for you then she turned around I could not see what she was doing then she turned back around to me holding this very nicely gift wrapped Masdevallia in a black plastic pot placed inside another really nice pot plus the plant had a plastic spike in the sphagnum moss that held a small envelope.  she Helen placed the orchid onto the counter and I was stunned as to how pretty it all looked so I took the envelope and I opened it and took out a nice card I read the card ( Quote] To Fred With love from your fellow orchid geeks ) I had tears in my eyes as I was so amazed that my fellow orchidgeeks would do such a wonderful thing. I thank you all for such a wonderful thought of doing this as I know it must have not been easy. The Masdevallia that was chosen for the gift for me well let me say my friends are the only others to have this Masdevallia in Tasmania.  Peter told me that its highly awarded and its one of the best Masdevallia's. That is when he told me I am the only other person in Tasmania to have this orchid. so to all my family of orchidgeeks thank you for your generosity and also thank you for your support.  I feel very blessed and touched in a special way I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. No wonder I am so proud of all the members here on orchidgeeks. thank you all          |

  From the Tip to the bottom of the bloom is 6 inches ( 15.24 cm ) the width if the bloom is 1.377953 inch ( 35 mm )  A Very Special Gift thank you |

| Well mate, we thought you deserved it, also, notice the name ????? What a beautiful flower to make your day, articuno co-ordinated the exercise and she did a great job. Enjoy, and hopefully the Fairy of Happiness looked favourably upon you.

| thanks mate  I don't think I am King of Kings though I am thought of one though  thank you Jenny aka articuno75 for co-ordinating this I did not have a clue about this. Anton I think the Fairy of Happiness brought me alot of happiness today as I look at the blooms now I have a smile on my face. an awesome thing for you all to do |

| Whoo hooo, you got it! I am so glad that it made your day, it is beautiful. Jenny waited up to see if you had gotten it, I guess she missed your post. She will be over the moon to know how much you like it. I admit, I fell asleep on her at midnight or so (sorry Jenny). I know how hard things have been for you, and it is great to see that we geeks could do something to make you feel better. Everyone really pulled together for it. Mission accomplished geeks!! GEEKS ROCK!!!!! Jenny you rock too. Fred I love you dearly , I am going to bed (I fell asleep on the couch lol).
