Not Allowed to Reply?

I wanted to reply to this thread... "Just mounted my new orchids!"... but when I hit the reply link I received this message...

epiphyte, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

For some reason I'm allowed to reply for some threads but not allowed to reply to other threads. Is anybody else having this problem?

The post you are referring to was made in the Orchid Grow List forum. Only Admin folks can reply there. Fred and Dave created that particular section so we could each create our own Grow List.

Ok, thanks, that explains that. I usually just view threads from the 70 most recent thread list and never notice which category a thread is in.

Perhaps a third reason might be added...

3. Only admins are allowed to reply to threads in this forum category

yes that section is only set up for members who wish to have there own growing list posted.

only the member with the list can reply to there own thread.

however only the forum staff can still reply to a members thread.
