| unfriendly look Hmm..  .May I express my opinion? I love the content of this site, and I've got fond of these wonderful people who keep it alive, but I don't like its look, especially this last one. The dark colors contrast sharply with the background which is wearing for eyes, the new, in some cases smaller font size, is less legible.The general look seems to me unfriendly. | Aniko, try the 'Greenish', instead of the 'Orchid' selection at the left bottom of page. I'm curious, can you read all the menu selections at the top of the page in 'Orchid', just like in 'Greenish'? On my 1600 X 1200 pixel screen, they are mostly wiped out. Cynthia |

| The 'Greenish' looks better on my 20" iMac, the 'Orchid' skin is a bit garish for the eyes. But, my priority is being able to upload images again. It worked for a while. :/

| On Windows machines (it's my case) colors look even darker than on Macs. It's a complex site, I'm sure is not easy to make it work perfectly.We have to be patient  Aniko. Last edited by Aniko; 10-02-2006 at 08:36 PM. |

| I really do appreciate all the feedback and I am SORRY for the disruption in styles and gallery...I also do not like the new style. I asked the designer to make a green one and he makes a purple one which is a real turn off. I have been nagging him for over the last month to finish the job. But alas nothing has resulted. Maybe I will just scrap it and stick with the old style. |

| Hi Dave, I can see some changes...Is this the new green skin ?The home page is the previous blue. Well, I've just wanted to propose some improvements. What about placing a preview of the Orchid Gallery - the random selection - right on the home(main) page ? It would make a lively, colorful "first impression". This actual heading could be replaced by an other dynamic headline, just a text line. I've made a sketch in Photoshop, I can't attach it, so I post it in the gallery/garden related pictures. (the word "geek" looks burred in the green version, but isn't!) | I's also like to make a complaint, sorry, but it's true. On the new set up I cannot log in unless I try to post a new thread or reply to an existing one. Cannot just click on log in, doesn't work at all....Help!?!?!?!?

| Hi aniko, this green style was actually the old style...I decided to not go with the other style as it was hard to read and just didn't look right. I really like your idea for the orchid gallery to also be on the homepage Your banner/header of "orchidgeeks" also looks excellent. Is there anyway you could send me that so I could use it for the header? |
