Phal Naples Night w/ all 4 blooms open

Here's all 4 blooms open. I am really loving this little honey... My husband likes it too! (he thinks some of my other ones are very strange...)

Very Pretty,
Mine is doing nicely but probably won't bloom until Spring. Nice to see what it will look like when it does.

Nancy, Good luck with yours. I love this plant. It's an easy grower, and it's pretty even when it's not in bloom. Be patient, and the rewards will be sweet!

Beautiful patticake!!! Mine is growing roots like mad but I don't see any sign of a spike, sniff sniff. Like many others have said - it is such a pretty little thing even without flowers.

Just like others have said, my plant looks great, but no spike - it is such a beautiful perky little phal that I don't mind at all. Even with no spike mine is calling out to all who will turn, "Look at me! Look at me! Am I not wonderful!?". Every week when watering it the leaves are all pointing out like raised hands, "Hey! Over Here! Look at Me!".
(BTW - nice blooms and pic Patti).

I think brighter light than most phals must be the secret. In order to get all that pink coloration and with that variegated foliage, you surely gave it more than one would thinkJenny told me to move my Naples Nights and the chid is doing a lot better now. Jerry probably had it under more light in Fla,too, don't you think

Anyway, yours is beautiful!! And if your husband likes it,all the better!! Good job

I got it from our own Jerry Meola! If you e-mail him, he can let you know if he has more.

jerrymeola@hotmail.com

Patlee, I think you're right. Mine is in a south window behind a Catt- My others wouldn't like that position, I don't think.

Also mine hasn't had any new growth. no leaves, and no new roots. I think all the energy has gone into the bloom. Those of you that have had new growth, will probably have stronger blooming when it happens. Mine has only 4 blooms!

Same thing over here...it is doing well mounted with roots galore...but no sign of a spike either.

Hi Patti,
That is such a pretty phal! Four blooms on such a young plant only hints of the things to come. Your photo's are great too!

I have found that new mounts spent a lot of energy establishing themselves before that first bloom. It's all good.
