Naples Night---update

Ok, here are the updates on my two Naples Nights,

One the sad one, was my first and it had trouble with limp leaves...the first picture is on 5/10/08 still some limp leaves
Here is today's, 6/4/08, picture, not perfect but the leaves are a little firmer


I also got a new Naples Night with a spike, the first picture is when I got it on 5/10/08
Here is today's, 6/4/08, picture the buds have gotten much bigger! Nice firm leaves, it is doing well!

I can't wait too! Now I am even more excited about mine, even though it is not spiking yet.

It looks great! The buds are looking nice and chubby! My spike is getting longer-slowly.

another update:
The flowers are starting to open on my second Naples Nights! Here is a picture (picture 1 and 2)




And my sad Naples Nights has a new leaf starting right at the crown! I know it is small but it is there. Yeah!!! This is the one that I had trouble with limp leaves. (picture 3)
I love new growth!!!!

Those buds are teasing us now!! Congratulations on the new growth on the sad plant! That shows that it's turned the corner and on it's way!

Here are the flowers, open now but still have a bit more to go.

What an awesome bloom!! I keep looking at mine everday, but so far it just sits there and stares back I only have one new root that I know of...Yours is absolutely beautiful--congratulations big time.

Yay! (again, lol) I am so jealous. The leaf on mine is growing but nothing else, good job, those are so pretty.

Mine seems to be focusing on rooting. I don't know if it is because it is mounted but All I see in my is huge spark of root growth.

Roots are good things! They are the promise of things to come.

I find that will all mounts the orchid increases the production of roots and results in less leaves and a longer wait for flowers. But then the roots are sufficient for the plant and everything else catches up.

Wow, it's such a lovely flower. Can't wait for mine. Right now, it's starting a new leaf, just like your older one. Seems that your older one that got limp is doing quite well now. Good for you!

Yippee-- I've got one new root(a nice green) and the start of a new leaf This is progress--I'm not giving up on this baby yet
