My Phal. Naples Nights spike update

It's growing ever so slowly... But it's growing, non-the-less. In the right direction, too!

Patti, Congratulations, big time I keep looking at my Naples Night--everyday--but so far all I have is some purple nubby things I just hope I have a spike by the time you have a bloom...

LoL, the nub on mine hasn't moved since I found it! LOL. Same thing happened with my Enc. cochleata. I think I spooked them or something...

Maybe they heard about the Windex! (Sorry, that was cruel, wasn't it?)

I have mine where it gets a little more light than my other Phals. It's in a south window, but it's just behind a Catt.- It gets dappled sun throughout the mid-day. Maybe that's the difference.

Well, it did start out with Florida-light! Maybe, that is the secret I'm gonna move mine this morning to an east window and see if it gets those nubs moving. What have I got to lose? It's just hanging out now with the other Phals, not doing much of anything ...Do you use worm tea,Patti?

I do... about every 8-10 days or so. Other than that, I just use tap water. It must be good here in ol' Halfmoon!

Mine is facing the East window as close as I can get to it without kissing it. The growth I have has gotten bigger and new roots have appeared. There is another growth coming! . Has to be lighting.

I agree- It seems to be able to take a little more light than my hybrid Phals.
It's exciting....

What sort of light are you giving your psychopsis, Patti Doesn't it seem that variegated leaves usually take more light? How did I miss that? Oh well, live and learn
