Congratulations.

Just one thing - spicerianum is a species so it has a lower case initial letter and not an upper case as a hybrid would have.

I hope you won't mind me mentioning that.

;-)

Jim I don't feel bad if you have had yours a few years and it was not one of our project plants from this year. I hope you know I was just joshing you????? If you had three buds your first year we would just have to pick your brain until you told us how you did it!

Fred I was just curious as to how long we have to wait for such multiple blooms. I'm thrilled a plant just a few years old can be so prolific.

If Jim could produce three blooms with one of our baby project plants then there was something I could have done differently.

Jim's news of three blooms has not stopped me from constantly staring at and admiring my lonely bloom.

In fact Jim....maybe you can share some culture notes with us??? A lot of us that joined the project were first time paph growers. Please Pretty Please????

Like I said in my first post I was not involved in the spice. project. But I hope I can help. I grow under fluorescent lights, water once a week, fert. with MSU fertilizer 3 out of 4 weeks. I've had this plant for 3 years it was a single growth then, last year it had 4 blooms this year 3 so far. When it's in bloom I display it in the kitchen with all the other bloomers, here are some pics. I hope I'm not being a pest.

WOW Jim what a beautiful paph!!! Pictures and input can never be pesky...that is what we are all here for. I can't wait until mine is mature enough to have multiple flowers.

No Jim, not a pest at all, any and all input is most welcome, As PhalPal said many of us who are taking part in the project are novice paph. growers, and helpand advice is great.
