Looks good, what mix did you decide on for it? I am pondering a hairy rooted repot of my own lol.

I am using Schultz's orchid mix soaked with worm tea on most of my chids right now. I have tried a couple other things, but I'm happy with this so-far. I add a little chopped sphag on plants that need a little more moisture, like this one. I may change down the road, but for now, this is working for me. I used some "ghost-poop" in the bottom for drainage- aka -packing styrofoam.

Yes, Mine has the small rocks in it, too. It's good for me as I like to water a lot, and the rocks drain a lot! I put ghost- poop in the bottom, also-
I'm growing this one under grow-lights.. T-12's

Update...10/03/08

My Paph. spicerianum is in spike! The picture is a little blurry, but I was too lazy to set up a tri-pod. I'll take a better picture when it opens!

Lol! Yes, that's my Paph. Yabba Dabba Doo x Paph. Hsinying Web. I think it's going to look like that forever....It's been growing so much slower than any Paph that I have. I plead with it all the time.

Patti, looks like you are doing well with your orchids. So many in bud/spike. I can't wait for this one to blooms. Green is my favorite!

Thanks, Solay! I'm pretty happy with the little guys right now. It's so rewarding after a hard day to come home to see them!

I'm happy for you too. It's so rewarding when you finally get blooms.

I'm keeping my eye on a Catt. in bud. I will post when it opens. Don't want to jinks myself. Seems every time I get all excited about a possible spike or bud, something horrible happens to it.

I'm happy about this little guy too. I'm still amazed at how "little" the plant is overall. Photos are deceiving as they are cropped to all look so similar in size. I thought I had a long wait until this guy would bloom.

congratulations Patti, I can't wait to see the flower.

My Spicerianum var giganteum is very slow, but has just started growing a new leaf. Movement at last.

Yabba Dabba Doo.....should "do" more. LOL! I might be wrong on this one...just my personal feelings...maybe the anticipation that's been building...but it seems like the ones that I've waited the longest on tend to be some of the most spectacular flowers I have. Call me crazy if you'd like.
