Hippeastrum Flowering

My Mother bought me this Hippy 12 months ago on a trip to Melbourne to see her.
the wired part is as she has passed away, the one my mother bought me is the first one to flower for the year, my mother passed away on a Thursday and the flower opens on a Thursday

Oooohhhhh very pretty!! I'd say Mom helped that one along for you. I love the colors on this one...truly... love the colors.

The only kind I can get around here are the common Red Lion, Apple Blossom and an orangy-red one which I can't remember the name.

I've never seen one in bloom before. It's beautiful. It's a sign you know.

yeah I agree that it must be a sign because I have 130 Hippy's and this one to be the first one to flower really makes me happy.
