first rose of the season

I'm waiting on my antique, once blooming roses to bloom. I love taking photos of the blooms and buds. I look forward to May and June every year to smell my roses.

This is Therese Bugnet and is usually the first rose to bloom in my garden. This one does re-bloom.

I love the fragrance of old garden roses and would love to share other photos when they come into bloom. Some roses that I have include LaBelle Sultane, Desiree Parmentier, Shailer's Province, Joasine Hanet, Maiden's Blush, Mme. Plantier, Cardinal de Richelieu, and others. Aren't you sorry you asked?

I love roses. You got a very pretty one there. It's worth all the nicks and scratches from the thorns for these beauties! Will be waiting for more pictures.

How pretty! I LOVE roses! I had to leave mine behind when I moved... I take care of the roses where I work, however... They're in bud! Soon to open with the hot weather that we're expecting this week! I'll try to take some pics., also.

Thank you so much for posting the pictures! I love them!!

Cytojo, I like the foliage on that rose. Looks different than the leaves I'm use to. Pretty bloom too. Thanks.
