| I don't want discourage you too much, but I live in northern Mississippi and I can't get the darn things to grow for me either. I see them around town covered in blooms, but I can't seem to get them going.

| I live in Southern Illinos.........and have my gardenia out during the summer and inside during the winter............I try to cut back on water but not dried out and keep in a cool area..................however, I have to say, they do not do real well, and I get discourage also. jan |

| I know what you mean! Especially when the're in bloom, the fragrance just draws you in. I guess you could buy the florist plants and just pretend they are a dozen roses. When they fade just trash 'em.
