'Strange' pepper

I found this pepper plant in China Town. It is not very healthy looking ( losing chlorophyll) but the pepper fruits looked very unique, almost shaped like Mars lander's protective cocoon. I am not sure if pepper would grow well indoors but I bought it.

Well Pikevi, you stumped me! At first, I thought it might be one of the Aji Dulce (from Venezuela), mild peppers or perhaps an Aji Cathucha (from Cuba, mild), but can't be certain. In fact, it has an outer space "ship" appearance. It's very interesting, but odd. If you can get the pepper to mature and taste it, let us know if it's mild or hot. Then I'll send more P.I.'s out there.

Thanks for the links, Sharyn.

They are similar but NOT the same. This may be from the east.

I will pick one and try it. If it is too hot I will let you know.

I hope it survives indoor. I have also brought another large pot of peppers indoors, following your suggestion. We will seee how they fare.

Thanks for all the help.
