Japanese *mini* Peace Lily

Hey

I think my peace lily is at that time in its life where flowers are dying and new ones are springing up. I have a range of big "buds" and much smaller mini ones.
The bigger ones, and some smaller ones seem to have wilted...and the inside (normally yellow, that ball thing) has gone black.
Is that flowers time done and finished...if so....do I have to deadhead or just leave it as it is?

Thank you
xxxxx

missconnie: i have a peace lily myself, but in the 3 yrs i've had it, never has it bloomed, so i cannot help you there. i keep mine well watered, but probably in low-light levels for blooming.

Im confused. Do peace lilies have two sets of flowers? I have the mini one and it has flowers...as in white like pear drops going "up" in direction with a big pollen thing in the middle...those are what I mean when I say "dying" and if I should dead head or leave them to do their own thing

I have a peace lily too. I most of the time allow mine to finish blooming then I cut them off. When the center turns black like that it's not long before the bloom starts turning brown. That is when I cut it off.

I most of the time cut the whole stem off as close to the bottom as possible. Sometimes if you gently tug at them they come off stem and all. If it doesn't just clip it.
