my camera is broke...dropped it... it wont focus now or i would post a pic.the browning isnt under it...it is along the edges and tips of the fronds ...like its dying...wilted. and there is a white like powder or a dusty film all over them...i couldnt stand it anymore...i cut the brown off hoping it wouldnt spread and cleaned much of the white stuff off.

Is the browning your speaking of kinda velvety? This is probably a normal occurance called sporangia. They basically possess the reproductive spores for the plant. My leaves that die typically go yellow then pale out...

no, i understand the sporing part..the browning is dark brown like once a plant wilts and turns brown.i did see a couple of the new little leaves pale out too tho.i got some bananas and am gonna try to revive it and not water it for a week unless its completely dried out...its still green,and i removed all the brown areas.i wish my camera was working i would love to post a pic so you guys could see it.

Problem I have is the doggone squirrels rootin' round... They truely drive my nuts. I don't see what the squirrel lovers see in them rodents... They must not garden!
