Wow..I don't think I've seen that before..it's beautiful.

They are closely related to African Violets only larger. I bought it last year.
In the fall all the flowers and leaves die off and you need to put them in a
dark cool spot for the winter months. No light and no water. In the early spring
they start growing leaves. Water them and put them in an east window and
wallah, they grow into this gorgeous large size plant with flowers all summer and
fall. I keep my indoors (safe from the bugs)

They look something like roses and carnations bred together.

Thanks all. I had never heard of them until I found this one at a local garden
center. They come in bluish purple & white and yellow & white also
