tillandsia ionantha mexican

Here are a few pics of my blooming tilly. It's in a 2" pot sitting on top of a large lava rock. It won't stick to the rock, though. I use wire to keep it from falling over.

very nice! You could use some glue to stick it to the rock.

Thanks everyone.
Bumpman, I tried sticking it to the rock with hot glue, but the rock was too dusty for any glue to stick to it. Maybe I'll try it again one day.

Kat is right, they make very good companions for orchids and don't take up much room at all. I keep a spray bottle nearby and just spray this one every 1-2 days. No fertilizer.

Love the colors!!!

I got a couple of little ones off of the Free table at my OS meeting a few months ago. They're just sitting on my table not mounted to anything...I spray them as I walk by every couple of days. Maybe I should put them on something...

Spectacular colors. I have one mounted on grape wood. It's really gotten much larger than when I got it. If it ever blooms I'll post a pic. They are very carefree, much like Spanish moss.

Nice one. We like tillandsias too. We've had some recent squirrel and dog set backs, but I'm still watching a couple of spikes.
(Why does the "like" stripe cross through the photos?)
