Anyone grow Plumerias in Texas??

I grow a lot of Plumerias here in So. California.

This last weekend, I gifted one of them (along with some cymbidiums and epidendrums) to my cousin, who lives in The Woodlands, an area very close to Houston, Texas. My thinking, is that because of the humidity in that area, the Plumerias should do pretty well. About the only thing they don't like, is overwatering and extended frost. At least mine don't.
They said that they only get a small amount of frost in that area, and if they know about when the frost will come, they cover their other plants with a sheet, or paper.

Anyone from Texas who has been successful with them? I'd like to know that my plant went to a good home.

My aunt lives in texas and she took a plumeria cutting from my tree. She says she will bring it inside during the frost (she has it in a big pot). She managed to get it to bloom already.

Thanks for the encouragement! I know that Texas is a huge state, with lots of different conditions. I thought it might be ok at least for the Houston area since it gets so humid there at certain time a year.

My mother-in-law lives in Houston. There's a large plumeria growing in her neighbor's yard, and coming up over her fence. It's in the ground and stays there year round. It blooms heavily all summer. However, she tried to grow one in a pot and it freezed out.

Thanks! Good info! I know they can deal with cold, but heavy frost can burn the tips, which will eventually rot off.

Appreciate your response!
