Dieffenbachia - Before and After

I have had this Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane) for over a year. For a while the leaves were just beautiful in color and all perky then all of a sudden they are lifeless and with brown tips. Any idea on what is wrong with it? Hera are some picture of before and now. The before pictures were taken in May of this year. I have water this plant the same all year long.

You can even tell that on the before pictures the leaves were green and white. Now they are just barely green.

This is one I don't grow because of the pet bunny. Leaf color can indicate issues with ph, lighting or water. Fertilizer buildup can be a problem with houseplants. I've started to use hollytone, a natural fertilizer, for my jasmines, hibiscus and the other acid-craving plants and they've responded very well. Planttone is next on my list. What lighting does it get? Maybe it needs a brighter spot now that summer is fading.
Hopefully, someone can help you.
Good luck,
leafmite

That is whay my husband told me, to move it back to where it was before where she/he was getting more light than what is getting now.

These plants prefer fairly bright light and being kept moist. Not wet. They get large; unfortunately, as they get taller the older (bottom) leaves often fall off and the plant looks sort of gangly. They are also poisonous (the juice in the stem) so keep them away from pets/kids. Good luck.
