My Lilies.

My lilies are blooming! So bright I almost need sunglasses to look at them.

Gorgeous! They are so cool - and nearly indestructible.

They were supposed to be multi-colored bulbs, but so far all I see is yellow. Still, so bright and cheery.

Beautiful yellow Asiatic lilies I have Oriental and Asiatic lilies. They are up and just starting to bud. Oriental's smell wonderful. Have several Stargazers in different colors. Here is a picture of my double yellow Asiatic and a Stargazer lilies with some feverfew. Feverfew is an annual here in Maine and it will self seed it makes a nice fill in and is excellent for cut boquets Btw, my garden has never looked the same way again I have been dealing with Asian lily beetles The only thing I have found that works on these nasty lily sucking little buggers is Bayer 3-1 systemic. I use the liquid form you mix with water and dump over the whole plant and soak the ground real good.

Very beautiful Sunshine! So natural looking. Hope I don't get any of those. Something is eating all my rose bushes though. Usually it's the Japanese beetles. I hate those little buggers.

I found feverfew to be quite a pain. The small patch I planted decided to start taking over the rest of my flower bed. Grew like a weed! Last summer I decided to start pulling it out to give my other flowers a chance (mini roses, lillies, tulips, another spring flower with the little purple bells) It's still coming back. Gotta be diligent and keep plucking it out!

I had a problem with the beetles on my lillies as well. I don't know if it ws the crazy weather we've been having (hot one day, cold the next) or if I've plucked enough of them out, I don't see any sign of them....yet.
