Tillandsia cyanea or Pink Quill Bromeliad advice

I just bought a pink quill bromeliad. Do these like to be potted in orchid bark? It is currently potted in what looks like a fine bark soil type mix, but I want to repot it in a different pot. Any experience or advice appreciated. Thanks!!

I successfully repotted this bromeliad species, Tillandsia cyanea, in orchid bark two years ago. I gave it away last year. It was in EXCELLENT condition! Tillandsia and its close relative Vriesea grow as epiphytes, often alongside orchids in the native habitat. Treat them similarly.

GOOD LUCK!

I have 2 of these as well. Mine are potted in what seems like peat moss. They are doing very well, I've had them for about two months. Is it recommended that they be planted in bark?

Yes, BluPeaches this species is encouraged to be grown in small sized, cattleya mix.

Thanks all. I thought it might be a good idea since I can be a little heavy on the watering sometimes It is such a pretty plant and looks great next to the orchids.
