I think I have found a couple names for this plant: Kalanchoe delagoensis, Kalanchoe tubiflora and Bryophyllum tubiflorum - common name Chandelier plant. Here's a link for info: Chandelier plant (Bryophyllum tubiflorum) And another: PlantFiles: Detailed information on Chandelier Plant, Mother of Thousands Kalanchoe delagoensis An interesting plant! I was going to say Kalanchoe too, but I couldn't help you with the species. Another interesting thing about this is that it should start growing dozens of little plantlets along the margins of the leaves. When they grow roots you can remove them, or you can remove the whole leaf and set it onto some cactus soil mix.

Does it have a distinct but pleasant odor when you snap off a piece? If so I think it might be a silver serpant (albeit a verigated version). This would be its common name. I bought a silver serpant last spring at a local green house. I brought it inside in the fall and lost it around Christmas time, but not sure why. Cindy |

Whatever it is, I like it. Very strange looking (in a good way)

| Does any one know this plant Quote:
I have seen the plant shown, it could be either a cacti or belongs to Onion family. prabhi s Last edited by prabhi s; 03-07-2010 at 08:07 PM. |

Senecio vitalis "Serpents"....my local greenhouse guru calls it "silver serpent". It's a succulant and looks a lot like yours, albeit, yours is just a single stemm at this point. I could not however, find any veragated versions and as I mentioned, mine had a very distinct odor whenever a piece would get snapped off....so I don't know if that's what you have or not. Cindy |

Definitely a part of the Kalanchoe family. We used to grow them a lot of years ago. Not sure of the actual name anymore. I do remember there being 3 different species of them, only being able to identify them correctly when they were in bloom because of the difference in bloom colour (Did cause a lot of discussion and aggravation when phoning the suppliers about shipping the wrong species) :-) Gr.
