and if i don't purchase that, i'll have to sleep with the chids', oh it doesn't matter, camping by the side of my chids' sounds fun

Is this a type of amaryllis? I bought one of these and it did not bloom, just 4 foot long foliage.

That is an amaryllis infact.
And yes, I've had the same problem before, but now before I plant my dormant bulbs, I give them a little chill in the fridge for a week, and then plant them. Don't fertilize them until you see new growth coming out, and water twice a week. Only when dry, or it will rot

But Fred, Thats a beauty, and once more bloom to come. It looks so elegant and pure white!!
