Echinocactus grusonnii

Hi all, while not much to do with orchids, one of my loves from yesteryear, Echinocactus grusonii.
I grew a batch of these from seed in 1982, despite several house moves, I have managed to keep 6 plants and finally after a long wait my first one to flower.
While not know for the beauty of the flowers, still quiet nice anyway.
Cheerio

Beautiful plant there! I had one a few years ago that I grew to flowering size, I also moved that thing a few times... until it got just too big, and I gave it to a good friends mom.

Wow great achievement! congrats! I have Disocactus ackermanii, Epiphyllum, Trichocereus peruvianus, Loph. williamsii and a few other cactuses i grew from seed, it's only been about two years but its really satisfactory seeing cactus grow up and go from little green blobs into big spiky blobs. It takes commitment.

I admire your patience. I just bought some various cacti seeds only to find out that they can take up to a year to germinate. I don't know if I'm up to this.
