African Violets

My wife used to have some small AV's which she killed (she can kill a cactus), so when the philadelphia flower show came around, I got her two replacements. they are now in bloom for the first time. One is in full bloom and the other is just opening up. I've been keeping them in an east window.

They are both beautiful, the colors are so soft. And they even have name tags!Over here if I were to ask to name of an African Violet I would be told it is an African Violet!

mine are flowering crazy atm, not much leaves eather. i have just got some cuttings soaking as well off a pink flowering one like in the pic. cant wait for them to root,

if you are having touble growing them then put them in violet pots with a wick system, much easyer to look after this way and just add a water based fertiliser. happy growing
