First bloom on Epiphyllum

If you guys remember, I bought a bunch of Epiphyllum cutting last August and now I have my first bloom. It's so pretty but it's starting to wilt after a couple of days only. They don't last long but the blooms are so worth it. This one is called 'Kathleen'.

Wow! The flower almost has a look of a dahlia. And what an interesting leaf pattern. Easy to care for?

Yes Sandra. Just can't take frost and direct sun. Like part shade and good air. I keep them outdoors with my Cyms. or under a tree until it gets in the 40s. They are really easy.

Nice to see the bloom on that

Is that from the cuttings that you sent out earlier this year? I have a bud on one of my cuttings now, but it is only about an inch long, it has a while to grow I think.

No Norris. This one is one I got from e-bay.

The one I sent you has no name. I don't know what color it will be. You have a bud already?! Can't wait to see what it'll look like. Please post a pic. when yours blooms. I planted mine really late and I'm not sure if it rooted.

Thanks you guys. I bought over 20 cuttings and this one bloomed first. I have one more in bud as well. I'm happy they all survived and is doing well. Can't wait until the others bloom. I think I got every color possible. Hehehe! I'd be willing to send out cuttings as soon as they get big enough.

Beautiful cactus flowers! I like the growth habit, too!
