Our OS trip to J & L Orchids!

We had a great day! The bus ride was about 2 1/2 hrs. each way. Our treasurer had made up some quizzes to earn raffle tickets which kept us busy on the way down. The ride back, we watched a dvd of blooms from the Taiwan show. We had a great lunch of fried chicken w/all the trimmings, and two workshops. The work shops were held outside, as it was a beautiful day. (No rain for a change!) When we got there, one of the owners spoke about where everything was in the gh. I'll load up some photos. My purchases are on a different thread.

...and a few more- these were mostly out side at the picnic, workshops, and vendors. The crazed woman buying the orchids must be stopped!!! (I think she's foaming at the mouth!)

I was afraid you would ask that...All I know is that it was in their breeding stock. It wasn't for sale, but they let us go in that section to oggle!

It looks like you had a great time. What a nice way to spend a day. Thanks for the pics too. I've never been to J&L Orchids and yet they are close to my parents. Looks like I'll have to make a trip home very soon.

My husband thought I was going to! There were so many more I would have loved to have had! Ah, well....
