Hi everyone

I have recently purchased "Dynamic Lifter" for my plants. Can I feed this to my orchids? It is an organic fertilizers containing birds droppings.

Please help.

Mani

Hi! I've never heard of it, so I don't know about recommending it. Seeing that orchids grow naturally in trees, it makes sense that this would be a good fertilizer, but I don't know anything about the rest of the ingredients. Where did you get it from? I'm curious to know if our other growers have used it. I'm always looking for new food for the chids so they don't get bored.

I purchased it from a nursery. Actually the shopkeeper is also not sure whether it is usedful for orchids. But he said all other plants can be given this fertilizer and said that it is organic.

Ask Fred about the stuff. I think he tops his fresh spagham moss with it. If I remember correctly, I think he said it's made from chicken poo

Chick poo is high HIGH (N) be careful of root burn! You will need to compost it first if it isn't already a compost tea. A lot of Asian growers still use it.

Sharyn is right, I am sure that Fred will see this soon, and give you more info. I just read a post of his talking about Dynamic Lifter. He has had good success with it.

Hi Mani.
In Australia we have a product called
Quote:
"Dynamic Lifter"
It is made basicily from composted Chook/fowl manure.
Is is use a lot in vegie gardens and topdressing the garden plants.
Not too many use it on orchids as we have a lot of other organic products containing Chook manure/fish/seaweed/ etc all composted and pelleted for instand useage.
"Organic Life" is one of my favorites mainly because it is easy to obtain.
I use it on all my orchids from time to time especially after repotting.
It helps kick start the friendly fungis in the potting mix to help the plants feed cycle etc.

Basic "Dynamic Lifter" if composted which one would hope is done before selling, would be ok.but be careful on sensitive orchids.
Hope this helps in a small way,as in all country there is a different approach in making many products.

Cheerio
Ron

If it's in liquid form I'd just mix it quarter strength - then you shouldn't have problems with root burn.

Thank you very much for all your valuable answers. I think I should dilute it with water and use sparingly. I hope Mr. Fred has seen my question. Waiting for his answer also.

Thanks

Mani
