| does Den need repotting? Hello, I was given a flowering den some two or three months ago. Now she is growing new canes. Even at the time I received it I felt the pot might be to small. There are roots out of the pot and I wonder if I should repot. On the other hand the plant seems happy as is and I read that dens like to be tight-bound. Could you please tell me what you think? Thank you very much. Leela |

| Definitely a good idea to unpot, check things out and give it new medium. If this were my plant, it would go into a much smaller pot, not larger. They love tight quarters. I had to change the medium on my Dend. recently and transferred it to a larger pot which I regretted. I ended up repotting it into the same size it originally was in. It definitely suffered a setback from the repotting and probably because it wasn't actively growing at the time which is when you'll want to make any changes to yours. Remember, tight fitting! ![]() |
