Talking How to get live sphag

I've been reading about live sphagnum moss and am wondering if anyone knows a supplier, or do I just have to buy the dried N.Z. moss and hope it will regenerate?

I am not sure if you can get live Sphagnum moss in your location.
maybe one of our members in your location can point you in the right direction with that.
the best way would be to get some NZ sphag put that into a clear plastic bag and keep it moist and with time it should regenerate for you.
I do not use tap water on the sphag I use I have tank water as the sphagnum moss I get comes from the mountains and always damp.

I grow my mounted plants with live moss... I got the moss dried (but still naturally green) at a local hobby/craft store. Hobby Lobby was the name, but other similar stores might carry moss (it's used in floral arrangements). Some kinds of dried moss will spring right back to life, whereas other types will be mostly dead (but still sprout new moss after a while). Hope this helps!

- oh yeah, dont use tap water! The minerals will eventually kill the moss. Use distilled.
