| For anyone interested in pollinating a paph (or other slipper), there are very detailed instructions on how to do it on Troy Meyers' website: www.troymeyers.com. Once there, click on the "Informational Pages" button, then on "Pollination of the Slipper Orchids". Even if you don't want to flask the seeds, it's fun and instructive to see a pod grow, at least once. Why rely on chance if you can do it with a toothpick? |

| Kevin, That's very nice to know ( I'm creeping around my paphs right now lifting and peeking under all their leaves ) Sandra : This one is Paph Oriental Lawrence ' Funnel ' x Luna Moth ' Mighty ' it will have pretty green flowers ( but only one per spike ) . I ordered this one little over a month ago for $10.00 . It's the first time a Paph starts its spike in my care so I'm on cloud 9 right now. Last edited by prisana; 07-28-2007 at 12:51 PM. |
