Need advice on my phalaenopsis

I've just repotted my phalaenopsis 3 weeks back and I'm not sure how well the plant is growing. It just lost one of its bottom leaf lately and its rooting system is looking brown. As this is my first pahalenopsis orchid. I'm not sure what i should do with it. Should it be repotted again or should it be left as it is. Can someone offer me some advice please. I've attached photos of the orchid

I see two problems here:

1. Potting medium is way too large.
2. That pot is not good for orchids.

I agree that the potting mix is way too coarse. Do some research about proper potting mixes for Phals and devise something other than chunks of firewood.

Hi I haven't seen you before so
The potting mixture does look large for a Phal , is there any other mix below the large chips? I tried to see something that would cause the leaf to fall and there maybe a little mold around the stem I can't really tell in the picture , but you could sprinkle a little cinnamon around where the black is on the stem or buy some 3-in-1 and spray it . Sometimes a leaf will fall off because of the change in location . How often do you water it ? But don't worry we have a lot of wonderful members that will try to help
maybe one of them will see something in the picture that I don't

Hi, as said above, the potting mix bark is far too large, plant is sitting too high in the pot.
Phallies prefeer clear pots.
Leaf falls are often asociated with cold conditions.
Remember they are tropical plants, keep above 75 F if possible
Best of luck

hi and welcome jqbjervis!!!
Did the phal come in a clear pot? They like to be snug, and if you can, I would reuse if the orchid hasn't grown much, or if you don't have another clear one around. Just remember to disinfect if before use, and plant it lower in the pot, so most of the roots are under a smaller grade of mix.
Glad you joined
