Best way to pot Den. Aggregatum ? Hi fellow geeks..I have this den. aggregatum that came in a 3 inch pot, I've put it in a new 4" pot just for now. It's growth is kinda funny , all the leaves are facing backward where all the old growths are. I tried to mount it on a cork bark having the newest growth on the outside, but the way it was growing , I'm seeing the back of the leaves. My question is : what is the best way to grow this guy ? Should I just leave it in the pot ? ( it looks much better in a pot , all I have to do is turn the pot around and I see the front of the leaves ) But would like to know if there's a trick to mounting this particular den ? I really want to try to mount it. Thank you

Ok , these are the pics of the den in question, if you see the back side of it ( in the 2nd pic ) that's where the new growth is coming out. If I were to mount it this is the side I would be looking at and it will look pretty funky ?

prisana Your Dendrobium looks pretty good as it is. Having said that it would also be just as good mounted. I would mount the plant on a slab of ManFern. Have you mounted an orchid before ? thank you for the pics

Fred__I have mounted a couple of den phals to a tree but they were not something I particularly treasured ( they refused to bloom ) - How do I mount it in a manner so the new growth has room to grow ? and - How do I get the leaves to face in the direction of the new lead ? But if you think being in a pot is fine, I won't fuss over it ..
