Question I repotted some terrestrials last week.

Last week I repotted my Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite 'Ursula' as well as my purple Spathoglottis plicata in a larger pot with a pink one I rescued from clearance. I must have done a good job; nothing died and the new growth especially on the Phaiocalanthe continues unstunted.

I stuck to bark mix for the Phaiocalanthe like it originally had been planted in.

For the Spathoglottis I guess I "chickened out" and didn't completely remove them from the soil-like coir fiberous medium, which the "coffee cup" pot was big enough to hold both unpotted and filled in around with more coir fiberous soil my partner found and I mixed in a little crushed up bark mix. Call it a foolish newbie experiment I guess.

Suggestions welcome, even if it's "Wow that was dumb switch back the Spathoglottises to as they were".

these things will grow in a wide variety of soil types. I dont kno about the coir being added and what it helps with but as long as its in soil its ok. Dont worry about removing from soil and stuff they are very hard to kill.

Cool

On August 22nd I repotted my Bollopetalum Midnight Blue 'Cardinal's Roost' into it's new pot. About that time the spike on my Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite 'Ursula', which I had repotted a month ago, was forming buds and began to bloom lastnight August 26th.

I've also gotten most of my paphiopedilums into their new set up now that three of them were done blooming. I still have one in bloom and two new babies I'm waiting to repot yet because I'm a worrier
