| Peanut recycling???
Has anyone ever recycled the Packing Peanuts by soaking in bleach solution? All of a sudden all of my shippers are using the dissolveable ones and I am running short. Thank you in advance for any feedback. Terry |

I have had to resort to saving plastic wine bottle corks, lol! Also, I've saved sheets of that plastic foam and cut it up into pieces...I actually prefer those to the peanuts...less static. Nice to see you again, Terry!

I doubt the bleach would hurt them but they would float and the entire thing would be far too messy and too much of a hassle for me. You can pick up a giant bag at most office supplies stores or UPS stores for a decent price. You can also use the bean bag styrofoam balls...a MONSTER bag can be had for around $12. They are a little trickier to work w/because they are so light but I'm using them in some of my mixes to keep the moist part more open and I've used them in the bottom of some pots. Just don't open the container of them in front of a fan...little styro balls go everywhere. Yep...brain wasn't working and that's what I did. DUH! LOL!

Grandmapenguin, I bet you could get them for free from freecycle, if you know about that group. I regularly see people asking for packing materials on our freecycle group. PM me if you would like more information.
