New Kids Questions?

So I'm at Lowes last night to buy supply for my orchid in distress and I come home with more???
I found a lovely little mini I had to have. Seems very healthy but very dried out. Gave it a drink, does have drainage . Thinking leave it for now? Moss seems very tight so will have to worry about rotting.

2nd find was on death row, (what I like to call it), leaves look chew up? Pot has no drainage and the moss is very wet

First of all, nice finds! Very cute phals.

Does the first pot have drainage? If so, just leave it for now. You can wait until the flowers are done to repot. Just be careful when watering--it's best to use a bamboo skewer and stick it deep into the pot. If you pull it out and it's wet, then hold off watering for a few more days.

Definitely do this for the 2nd one, since it doesn't have drainage, which is a serious problem. Take them out of the pots and check the roots. Cut off any dead roots, and put them into new pots with holes. I hope they have some good roots! I personally don't like sphag at all, because it stays too wet, so I would repot into bark.

I recently bought one in the small green pots.... NO good roots
If I were you I'd take them out and at least check the roots, just to make sure they're healthy

Since there are two orchids in the black pot I thought that was a good buy. Thought maybe I would repot one in moss and the other in bark. Not sure which I like better, pretty new at this.
The twins have no drainage holes at all. Will have to make another trip to buy more pots!!!
The tall mini pot does drain, I just removed some of the tight moss so it could get some more air.
I had read orchids shall be water daily and kept moist all the time? UGH I shall had known better since I have a nice collections of africa violets, I only water them when their completely dry! AV are happy that way and I have 8 plants flowering at this moment.

Nice buys. I saw the same set ups at Lowe's not too long ago and loved the double pots but decided to just get a mini in one of those green pots. They are nice pots with a built in drainage pan on the bottom but a bit tall. I ended up pulling mine out and putting it in a pudding cup that I had cut holes in and put that back into the tall green pot. :P

And as for the moss, I personally love it and my phals seem to enjoy it as well.
