What kind of medium is this?

Someone help me figure this out what kind of mix or medium this is. If you read japanese you ROCK!!!, if not maybe we can figure out what it is from pictures of it? I know its an orchid mix because the store I bought it from, this was in the orchid section. I just have no idea what exactly I have a mix of. Dont laugh, but I think it just looks like kibbles and bits..... but I bought this to put my vanda in. Im hoping it will be a good one. Thanks. It is Iris brand, but I didnt have any luck with their website, the translations just didnt give me a clue.

it looks similar to poultry grit which is occasionally used in commercial American orchid mixes.

OK so I sent this foto to a friend who's wife happens to be Japanese.
He is on the other side of the country from me but thanks to
modern technology we instant messaged as his bride had a look
at the picture of the bag.
As much as she could make out the logo says "Western Orchid"
and Cymbidium and Dendrobium are mentioned (at least she
sent words that were spelled phonetically similarly sounding) on the bag.
I asked if she saw anything that looked like it could be the word Vanda
and they said no.
I guess this information doesn't really help you know what the heck
this stuff actually is.
I guess you need someone who both speaks the language AND knows orchids.
Good Luck!

Does it feel like rocks? Or is it a soft(er) and porous material?

I ask because if it's more like rocks...not porous so the water drains quickly rather than retains a lot of moisture...it could work for your Vanda.

Thanks for trying Veektor... and yes it probably says exactly what she was saying. Where I go is a makeman's store (kinda like japan's home depot, with more) They normally have people who speak english working, just not on the day I was in there.

To answer others, yes it is hard like rocks, And it doesnt seem to retain mosture when I water the Vanda. It seems to be doing good. The store is having something to do with orchids on Saturday. Kinda like a bunch of classes and all, I plan on going to it. Im just hoping that someone will speak english there, if not I guess I will just watch and hope to gain some knowledge by sight. They have a bunch of new orchids in, so I knowwwww Im going to buy some to bring home too.
