Shell grit is often the crushed shells of oysters left over after they shuck the oysters
It may contain a lot of salt?

Hi Phil gave the USA address, I m in Australia and a long way to send them

In spring summer I fertilize mine about every 2 to 3 waterings, winter I do not bother as growth has slowed down a lot.
A little bit now and agin in winter would not hurt.
I water mine Phallies when nearly dryied out but sometimes they dry out, does not matter just water them
Best of luck

There is a seller on eBay who is selling coco chips in 1/2 and full bales for $40 and $60 respectively (that includes shipping in the US). She's currently out of the medium chips and only has the small size. A search for "coco chips bale" will get you to her auctions. I spent a small fortune getting coco chips at a local grow shop (marijuana cultivation is very big business where I live).

Hi the common grit called shell grit is often the crushed oyster shells left over from the oyster indrustry.
I suspect the would contain a lot of salt, good for the chooks but not so good for the plants.
