Dendrobium kingianum POTING MIX ?

I just ordered a small Dendrobium kingianum( type not stated)on Ebay
I got a 2" and a 3 inch net pot and mixed fir nuggets with lava rocks and a little fine pumice and some Canadian peat moss will that be a good mix to grow these in , the seller says to use straight moss but everything I read says to use back or rock , I have tons of lava rock and pumice so I can use that strait or moss if that is best
I have not grown orchids in decades and need advice
I can water with well water 150ppm or ro di water or rain water during the winter , or from my fishtank ( my carnivorous plants and brugmasias love the fish tank water )

I use pine bark only for mine, the ones I have growing outside under the pergola don't have any potting mix at all and hang in the breeze.

I think medium bark is about right, maybe some perlite mixed in.

Depends on climate and conditions as well and moss could work. I wouldn't use it here though.

It does really depend on your conditions. I have mine in LECA and a basket pot as that works best in my conditions.

dry conditions most of the spring and summer daytime temps mostly in the 70-80f partly sunny under maple trees
nighttime temps 50-70f
winter outside 60f rainy daytime 30-40most nights but can go down to the teens for a few night s a year
inside dry( forced hot air heat ) coolest room is 60f warmest 70f , I run a humidifier 24/7
have grown tropical pitcher plants with no problems in a moss and pumice mix

I just mixed 3/4 lava rock and pumice with 1/4 fir nuggets maybe a trace of sag moss
think I will try that unless I hear otherwise

Mine is in a 3-inch net pot with medium bark an a little charcoal. No peat, no moss. It is growing like a weed.
