Help, what shall I do?

Hi, I have two orchids not looking very well. First one, where the leaves are getting yellow one by one.
The second one have one leave with black things getting bigger and bigger.
Can anyone help me with suggestions on what to do to help them survive??

I would check the roots on both of them. The first one looks like it is being affected by root rot. I'm not sure what is on your second, probably a bacterial or fungal infection. I know root rot can definitely stress the plant, and cause it to be more prone to other problems.
If you do find rotted roots , be sure to remove them, and repot your phals into fresh mix.

Here is something else that might help you, but I'm not sure if I got it right, I found a culture sheet from the AOS on Phalaenopsis ... in Swedish

I hate to cut leaves if I don't have to. Hopefully someone who knows what that problem is can tell you. If it is spreading I would first try to cut out the spots with a razor, then sprinkle cinnamon on the cut areas. If it still spreads, as a last resort I would remove the leaf.

It looks more like a fungal spotting of some kind. Are the spots growing rapidly?

The second picture is due to some kind of fungal attack. You may use some kind of fungicide. It ma stop the further infection. If you find the spots still growing.you will have to cut the leaves. You must keep it somewhere it gets good air circulation. And dont forget to add cinnamon powder on the cut.The first one seems to be due to root rot.Root rot occurs due to excessive watering and when the medium start to decompose. You must act quick before it dies off.I think it is time to re pot or try for a different medium. How long had it been after you re-potted it last time.
Im not having a phal in my collection. You may look forward for replies from other geeks (Think twice before you act ).

That is what it looks like to me.Anways Im not an expert.
Hope it helps.

Kmarch: They are growing very slow, and only on one leaf this far.

Rishad: I do not know the it was repoted. I bought it 2 months ago.

I do not know any fungicides, any recommendations?

I found this from this site.....

Once this is done, soak them again in peroxide to clean out any rot or bacteria (10 minutes or so). I then rinse mine and inspect again to see if I have missed any dead ones. I then spray the whole works with cinnamon spray (1/2 tsp cinnamon extract, 3 drops dishsoap, and a quart of water in a spray bottle) I then put them in an appropriate size pot with a couple of styrofoam peanuts or some clean rock in the bottom. I then place the plant in the pot at a level that I like and hold it while filling the pot with medium, and gently shaking and tapping the pot on my table to get the medium to settle. I fill the medium in being careful not to bury the crown too deeply. When it is done I just clean it up and gently tamp the medium with the back of a spoon and fill. The trick is to make sure there are no empty pockets in the medium around the roots. Those are instructions for bark. If you need instructions for sphag, let me know.

Both plants look like they're in pots much too large. Too much medium in the pot will stay wet and rot the roots. When you do repot, put them in a pot that will just accommodate the roots.
