Help identifying a bug please

When I watered one of my chids today, I noticed it looked like something moving on top of the medium. Upon closer inspection I see this teeny, tiny little grey winged bug, so tiny I could not get a picture of it, they move very fast also. Any one know what these are and if the *Brooke Recipe* will kill them?

What you probably have is springtails or plant lice. If so, they are harmless.

Ewww plant lice, even if they are harmless, I don't like them. There isn't any damage to my plant so hopefully you're right and, hopefully the cinnamon spray will get rid of them.

Sassimom,
Did it help - friend of mine has those little blighters on her Af. violets.... if it killed them for you, I will make up some in a spray for her (well, not for her personally - I don't usually spray my friends with pesticides!)

Earthsong, it killed everything, even a little critter that I found looked like a tiny sow bug, but didn't curl up like one. I believe Jenny posted about something like that she found also. It is also finally getting my mealy bug problem under control, those little buggers were running amuck on my poor orchids.
