| I'm sorry I'm no help... It doesn't look very good, though. You said you got it that way? I wouldn't be very pleased with whoever sold it to you! The bloom is nice.

| Solay~ I would as bad as it sounds, I would remove the leaves. You can tell with the indentations and the wider pattern around it that it's going to spread. I'd be on the safe side and remove it. Those are older bulbs any way aren't they? I can't tell from the pics.

| So in the pic with the plant, cut off the 2 really bad leaves. I see another that has the start on it, and I would just cut the bad parts out. This is definitely a fungal infection. Little booger should recover just fine, these are really tough plants. Give it a good cinnamon spray, and pour some peroxide down into the roots, cut the bad, use good culture, and wait. Patience sucks, but you are gonna need some with this one. I have 2 of these, and they are small, but they are the 2nd and 3rd orchids I bought, you can imagine the trauma I have inflicted upon them! The first day I had them I put them on the porch and the cat knocked them out of their pots, and the list goes on from there lol.

| I would not remove the leaves unless they turn mushy and degrade very quickly. Leaf spotting is common in catts that are grown "rough" (i.e. outdoors most fo the time or under conditions that approach the extremes of what the plant can tolerate. Here in Australia most people grow cattleyas outdoors, which can be really hot in summer and cold in winter. I judge at shows with cattleyas and the plants look disasterous but the blooms are fine. The extremes in temp are hard on the leaves.

| Cindy The flower is very pretty! I hope the plant will be OK. Kevin That is good information, I have a Catt NOID and the leaves do look pretty "rough", but the plant seems OK.
