| Sorry I am not entirely sure what it is, but I wanted to say that is a very nice close up shot. Very detailed and clear. Looks like the leaves are "textured" where it is red. Is this true? I could be that the plant is just near the upper limit of light. If it was a sunburn then it would be more brown to black. If just red tint then it is till ok. Have you increased the light intensity before these leaves grew in. If so I would guess that it is the high light levels since the previous leaves all look solid green. |

| The other plants may not be reacting because they are higher light plants and could take even more light. Keep in mind plants are like people, we all tolerate different levels of environmental factors and react to the same factors differently. If the red tint is due to the light, it is not a bad thing. It just means that you should not add any more light to that plant or it may sunburn. This is kind of like a sun tan. Since you added the light, I am going to guess that it is approaching the upper light limit and that is what is causing the red tint. As long as it is getting good air flow and water then I wouldn't move it yet. I am curious to see if other members agree or have any other ideas. |
