| use both. when i repot, if the roots are questionable, i basically submerge the bare root plant in H2O2 for ten mins or so. if i suspect a plant is getting crown rot (-shudder-) i pour straight H2O2 into the top every few days for a couple weeks. i then dust some cinnamon on as well. don't overdo the cinnamon on roots, as it has drying properties, but otherwise both remedies basically have no side effects. (and they're cheap. see: First Rays' Home Remedies

| Something I have found useful with cinnamon: I sprinkle it on the end of a trimmed leaf tip and the 'browning' stops at the cut line. If I just trim it and leave untreated the leaf continues to turn brown.

| I do the same as PhalPal and use it to dust leaves that have to be trimmed. You can mix it up as a paste for roots, that way it doesn't dry them out. Find out what works best for you, that's what I did and stick to it. Everyone has their own lurks and quirks and remedies. If something new comes along, I'll try it on a plant that is expendable.
