Is this scale on my Oncidium? Whatever this is, it's contained (so far) to this one leaf. I've quarantined the plant.

Nah, just looks like hard water buildup. Little bit of lemon juice on a paper towel should take it right off.

I think Orchidflowerchild is right. The only other thing that comes to my mind is some powdery stuff falling on the wet leaf and subsequently drying up.

Please let us know if lemon juice helped.
