found bug

rencentlly I repotted my Cymbidium I notice couple of bugs coming out of my orchids. I don't have a picture, but the bug is black, about about 1/2 inch. It's not a slug. Can anyone tell me what bug it is, and how do I kill it

Can you describe them in more detail or perhaps post a picture please? I'm afraid black and 1/2 inch isn't much to go on. Also, could you please update yoru profile to include your general location as this can assist forum members in making recomendations.

i don't have a camera so i don't have picture, It seem like the bug hides between the leaves and like to eat the flower.

It's not enough info to say what kind of bug it is but if you're concerned about it you could try an insecticide that is approved for orchids. I see you're from San Francisco. There are local orchid societies and orchid nurseries in SF that could recommend an appropriate insecticide.

thanks for helping me, I look at the web for every picture of orchid pest and found that a picture of Thrips is the bug I saw in my orchid.

Thrips are not black and 1/2 inch long. They are tiny, more like 1/16th of an inch long and white. I think you've got somethign other than thrips.
