errr - what's best to get rid of this?

So unhappy. I was checking my masdevallias this morning and found this bug in the humidity tray. I hate bugs! What is the best treatment for this little fellow (1")? What do they do to orchids? Etc?

BillC is on a distinguished road
Vivienne, what you have there is a millipede. I don't believe it will do the plant any harm but never-the-less, perhaps you should get rid of it. Just try and make sure that the media is free from more of them. Sandra swears by Organocide and says it will shift many different kinds of bugs. If you do try the spray please let us know the results.

If you do find that you have a heavy infestation then I can help with a surefire method of killing a lot of millipedes. I won't go into it now but wait until you report on the amount of bugs you have. ( The one you found may be the only one). Bill

Thanks - I'll have to do an inspection of all my orchids in that area. Will report my findings.
