Didn't buy any new phals

I went to three stores today to look at the phals and every single one had either spider mites or some other condition going on. Thank goodness I can sort of know what to look for! it would have been just awful if I brought one home and infected my plants. I had the store clerk take one out of the plastic wrapping and then the clear plastic pot out of the ceramic pot so I could see the roots. That's how I found the mites - not in the roots but between the two pots. The others in different stores had lots of rotten roots and strange looking leaves. Oh well ... I do have my ones at home and two have rebloomed.

Spider mites are awful, I hate them, not quite as much as Phalaenopsis mites (that was a long battle that I am thankful is over, for now at least), although neither has been as intractable as fungus gnats. Good work on holding back, I am sure your other plants would thank you, if they knew.
